A Day at the Movies

The theme this year for my spring piano recital was 'A Day at the Movies', so we all played songs from movies (and broadway shows). I played "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables. It was really hard to learn, but completely worth it! It was the most fun song that I have played at a recital. We had two and a half hours before the recital started after church because we were having a farewell lunch for some good friends. Needless to say, this caused some silliness while we were waiting for it to be time to start. Here are some pictures for us to prove our weirdness. :) (not that this is needed!)

Fake Prom

Saturday was Fake Prom. It is a prom hosted by a youth group in the area. Here are some of the pictures, but more are to come! (I did not want to carry my camera around, and ended up regretting it, because now I don't have any of the pictures from during prom :'( Shout out to Auntie Em for my gorgeous dress!!

Happy Belated Birthday Mommy!!

After church we surprised Mom with her birthday lunch. We went to Red Lobster. Num num! I got shrimp and a baked potato and then key lime pie for dessert.

Closer to her birthday Dad took her shopping for some new clothes as her present. We did not do much on her actual birthday, so we did something a little more special than normal since it was late.
